While Fruitport didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Godwin Heights Wolverines on Tuesday, sneaking past 56-54. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Fruitport's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Godwin Heights, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fruitport will head out to face off against Calvin Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Godwin Heights, they will head out on the road to square off against Kelloggsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
