Basketball Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 58-34 to the Plainfield North Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 503rd, while the Tigers are ranked 83rd).

Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Plainfield North, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plainfield East will welcome Yorkville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Yorkville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Plainfield East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Plainfield North, they will host Romeoville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Plainfield North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Romeoville likes a good challenge.
