Soccer Recap: Lewiston Comes Up Short

Lewiston was the 4-2 winner over Sandpoint when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Bengals fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Saturday.

Avery Lathen wasn't going to let Sandpoint walk away unscathed as she scored both of Lewiston's goals, bringing her season total up to 23 goals.

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Sandpoint, their win bumped their record up to 3-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lewiston is set to take on their familiar foe Post Falls at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sandpoint will face off against rival Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
