Basketball Recap: Alyvia Padgett Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Jefferson

After losing to Jefferson the last time they met, Brandon Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The stars were shining brightly for the Brandon Valley Lynx in a 51-35 victory over the Jefferson Cavaliers on Tuesday.

Brandon Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyvia Padgett out in front who posted 12 points and five steals. That's the most steals Padgett has posted since back in December of 2023. Amanda Lease was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The victory got Brandon Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Brandon Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 56-32 win against Roosevelt on the 20th. As for Jefferson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-50 loss against O'Gorman on the 20th.
