Soccer Recap: Laney Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Laney had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Josey Eagles a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Josey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Laney challenge the Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on March 6th. As for Josey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Richmond County Technical Career Magnet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
