Volleyball Recap: St. John Falls Short of Jackson-Milton in the Playoffs

St. John and Jackson-Milton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but St. John had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bluejays, falling 3-0. The Fighting Herald were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bluejays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

When it comes to explaining why St. John lost, don't look at Alexa Jordan. Despite the final result, she had 57 digs and two aces. Jordan has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sara Ducro, who had 16 digs.

St. John's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Jackson-Milton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

St. John does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jackson-Milton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Monroeville on the 30th.
