Preview: Cane Ridge Ravens vs. Pearl-Cohn Firebirds
Cane Ridge has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cane Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
Cane Ridge pushed their score all the way to 63, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-63 to Franklin.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Avyion Mccleton, who scored 16 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Pugh, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pearl-Cohn made easy work of Sheffield on Saturday and carried off a 62-38 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pearl-Cohn.
Their wins bumped Cane Ridge to 4-4 and Franklin to 4-2.
Cane Ridge didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Pearl-Cohn when the teams last played back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 82-76 victory. Will Cane Ridge repeat their success, or does Pearl-Cohn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
