Volleyball Recap: SA Roosevelt Takes a Loss

SA Roosevelt suffered their biggest loss since October 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the East Central Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rough Riders of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

SA Roosevelt was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made East Central work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 25-22.

Chelsea Amanquah paced SA Roosevelt's offense, picking up eight kills. Amanquah got some help from Sophia Avella and her 14 assists. Julia Le controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

SA Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for East Central, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

SA Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Floresville on the 21st. As for East Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Medina Valley on the 21st.
