Softball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Rocky Mountain

While Rocky Mountain's win against Borah wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Grizzlies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Lions on Tuesday. Six seems to be a good number for the Grizzlies as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Aubrey Sorensen was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Tayler Klozcko was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The victory (which was Rocky Mountain's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Borah, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocky Mountain will take on Ridgevue at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Grizzlies are facing the Warhawks at the right time seeing as the Warhawks are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Borah, they will square off against Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mavericks have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
