Volleyball Game Preview: Augusta Christian Lions vs. Cardinal Newman Cardinals

Augusta Christian is 0-10 against Cardinal Newman since September of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Lions will face off against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Augusta Christian came up short against Ben Lippen back in September, falling 3-0.

Augusta Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Newman faced Nation Ford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons.

Augusta Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cardinal Newman, their loss dropped their record down to 36-8.
