Basketball Recap: Cliffside Park Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Cliffside Park can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They managed a 62-57 win over the Midland Park Panthers. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 56-51 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2018.

Cliffside Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Thomas Calabrese, who posted 21 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. The contest was Calabrese's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamil Gonzalez, who had 15 points and five assists.

Calabrese wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Cliffside Park was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win got Cliffside Park back to even at 8-8. As for Midland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
