Football Recap: Shaker Comes Up Short

Shaker's game on Friday was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Brothers: they've now lost six in a row.

Archie Jones looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground.

Shaker's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Christian Brothers Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Shaker is set to challenge their familiar foe Shenendehowa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Christian Brothers Academy will take on rival Guilderland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
