Basketball Game Preview: Rocksprings Angoras vs. D'Hanis Cowboys

Rocksprings has gone 8-2 against D'Hanis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rocksprings Angoras will look to defend their home court against the D'Hanis Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.

D'Hanis is hoping to do what Nueces Canyon couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Rocksprings' winning streak, which now stands at four games. Rocksprings simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Nueces Canyon 82-40. With the Angoras ahead 39-19 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Hunter Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 17 rebounds. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dwayne Rivera, who went 6 of 11 en route to 12 points along with seven boards and five steals.

Rocksprings smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for D'Hanis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Medina 55-25 on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cowboys considering their 28-point performance the contest before.

Rocksprings pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for D'Hanis, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Everything went Rocksprings' way against D'Hanis in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Rocksprings made off with a 63-37 win. Will Rocksprings repeat their success, or does D'Hanis have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
