Softball Recap: Miller's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, Miller was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ray Texans by a score of 10-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Buccaneers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Miller got a massive performance out of Isabella Campos, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. With that strong performance, Campos is now averaging an impressive 1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Washington, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Miller kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Miller's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Ray, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Miller and Ray will both be playing Alice the next time they take the field. Miller will host Alice at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Ray will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
