Basketball Game Preview: Enloe Eagles vs. Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders

Enloe is 2-8 against Cardinal Gibbons since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Enloe Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders at 6:00 p.m.

Enloe is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Friday. They took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Broughton. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while the Capitals are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, Cardinal Gibbons beat Athens Drive 69-58 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

Enloe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Enloe came up short against Cardinal Gibbons when the teams last played back in January, falling 60-54. Can Enloe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
