Basketball Recap: Menomonie Comes Up Short

Menomonie lost against La Crosse Central back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Menomonie Mustangs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the La Crosse Central Riverhawks. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Menomonie's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for La Crosse Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Menomonie is taking a road trip to square off against Somerset at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Menomonie is facing Somerset at the right time seeing as Somerset is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for La Crosse Central, they will be home for the holidays to greet DeForest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
