Baseball Recap: Waukesha West Comes Up Short

Waukesha West suffered their closest defeat since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Muskego Warriors by a score of 4-2. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Waukesha West saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Schmidbauer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Waukesha West and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Muskego, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3.

While Waukesha West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
