Softball Recap: Hickory Flat Rebels vs. Water Valley Blue Devils
Hickory Flat was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Water Valley Blue Devils, falling 17-5. One positive for the Rebels, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Laklin Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Brooklyn Wright was another key player, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Even though they lost, Hickory Flat always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Hickory Flat's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Water Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
