Volleyball Recap: Edinburgh Takes a Loss

Edinburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Henryville Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Edinburgh started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-15, 15-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Henryville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ella Logsdon, who had 13 kills and six blocks. Another player making a difference was Lylia Martin, who had 22 assists and six digs.

Edinburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Henryville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Edinburgh has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Paoli on the 23rd. As for Henryville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Hauser on the 23rd.
