Recap: Coolidge Yellowjackets vs. Oakwood Panthers
The Coolidge Yellowjackets lost against the Oakwood Panthers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Coolidge took a serious blow against the Panthers, falling 55-23. Coolidge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.
It was another big night for Jacee Youngblood, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 18 rebounds for Oakwood. Another player making a difference was Emma Neel, who scored nine points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Coolidge and nudges their season record down to 2-12. As for Oakwood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-6.
Coolidge will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oakwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinidad comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
