Softball Recap: Wheaton-Warrenville South Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Wheaton-Warrenville South came out on top against Geneva on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Tigers never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Tigers have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Wheaton-Warrenville South got a massive performance out of Abby Mease, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits Mease has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Bobor, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Wheaton-Warrenville South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Geneva only posted an OBP of .105.

Wheaton-Warrenville South's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Geneva, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Wheaton-Warrenville South didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-3 loss against Glenbard North on the 7th. As for Geneva, they have also already played their next match, a 4-3 defeat against Batavia on the 6th.
