Basketball Game Preview: Grace Christian Grizzlies vs. Palmer Moose

The Grace Christian Grizzlies will square off against the Palmer Moose at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Grace Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matchups.

Grace Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Wasilla, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Grace Christian was ranked third). Grace Christian fell 64-57 to Wasilla on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Palmer was able to grind out a solid win over Kenai Central on Thursday, taking the game 49-38.

Grace Christian's defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points over those games. As for Palmer, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Grace Christian strolled past Palmer in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 71-53. Will Grace Christian repeat their success, or does Palmer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
