Recap: Pyramid Lake Lakers vs. Excel Christian Warriors
The Pyramid Lake Lakers won the last time they faced the Excel Christian Warriors, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Pyramid Lake managed a 42-38 win over Excel Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pyramid Lake.
Rylen Patrick continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrell Twohearts, who scored nine points.
Despite the loss, Excel Christian still got an impressive performance from Mark Doerfler, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Doerfler scored a full 60.5% of Excel Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Pyramid Lake now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Excel Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pyramid Lake will take on Sage Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sage Ridge is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Excel Christian, they will be playing at home against Whittell at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Whittell is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
