Softball Recap: Starmont Comes Up Short

Starmont lost against Springville back in June of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stars fell just short of the Orioles by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Stars have lost by just one run.

Starmont's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Springville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Springville beat Starmont by a score of 13-8 later that day.
