Basketball Recap: James Nowells' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Olympia over Edgewater

Olympia lost against Edgewater two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Olympia Titans took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edgewater Eagles. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Olympia's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Nowells, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Perry, who posted seven points and six assists.

Olympia's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for Edgewater, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Olympia has already played their next matchup, a 70-66 victory against Boone on the 24th. As for Edgewater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-52 win against Oak Ridge on the 24th.
