Dripping Springs posted their closest win since August 31, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Manvel Mavericks 2-1. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mavericks, too.

Dripping Springs had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-23, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Manvel lost, don't look at Sami Guikema. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and five aces.

Dripping Springs' victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Manvel, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
