Basketball Recap: Lakeland's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lakeland entered their game against Moscow on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lakeland Hawks took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Moscow Bears. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Lakeland's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4. As for Moscow, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-8.

Lakeland will challenge Flathead at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moscow, they will head out to face off against Lewiston on Tuesday. Lewiston has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
