Gramercy Christian waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their defense stepped up to hand New Bern Christian Academy a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Gramercy Christian, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Paige Gafford and Leighton Overall scored all three of Gramercy Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Gramercy Christian pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four games. As for New Bern Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Gramercy Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Community Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
