Recap: Martin Luther King Cougars vs. Benjamin Franklin Electrons

The Martin Luther King Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Benjamin Franklin 88-54. Despite the defeat, Martin Luther King saw an underclassman step up: Benito Scott scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. Makhai Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Benjamin Franklin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kneco Hill, who scored 26 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Soukare Fane, who scored 21 points.

Martin Luther King bumped their record down to 4-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Benjamin Franklin, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
