Football Recap: Lavergne Drops Season-High Score on Rockvale

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask LaVergne). They secured a 32-26 W over Rockvale on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

LaVergne's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trinity Ryan led the charge by throwing for 335 yards and two TDs while completing 88.2% of her passes. The Wolverines' leading receiver Jada Starnes was Ryan's top target yet again, picking up 146 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

LaVergne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Starnes and Secret Chapman. Starnes also posted 146 receiving yards, which is notable because LaVergne is 2-1 when she posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

The victory got LaVergne back to even at 3-3. As for Rockvale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
