Canyon got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They claimed a resounding 41-6 win over Pampa. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Harvesters recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Bayler Schilling was the offensive standout of the matchup as he picked up 115 receiving yards and one score. He is becoming a predictor of Canyon's success: when he posts at least 100 receiving yards the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
