Soccer Game Preview: Mitchell vs. Mountain Heritage

The Mitchell Mountaineers will square off against the Mountain Heritage Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mitchell comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Mitchell's offense. They lost 9-0 to Owen on Monday. While losing is never fun, Mitchell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while Owen are ranked 200th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mountain Heritage, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Avery County by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Mountain Heritage's winning goal came courtesy of Kai'ana Stella.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Mountain Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
