Baseball Recap: Millard Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Millard can now relate to. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in March.

Millard saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Branson Adams, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Millard's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Gunnison Valley, their record now sits at 18-8.

Millard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gunnison Valley, they will face off against Milford at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
