The Union Grove Christian Patriots had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Tabernacle Christian 56-40 on Monday. This was payback for Union Grove Christian, who suffered a 50-33 loss the last time these two teams met.
Union Grove Christian found their leader in underclassman Taylor Hanes, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Hanes is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Klaira Cromer was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds.
Union Grove Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14. As for Tabernacle Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6.
Union Grove Christian will head out on the road to challenge the Royals at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tabernacle Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Crusaders at 5:30 p.m.
