Douglas is a perfect 10-0 against Bishop Manogue since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will take on the Miners at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Douglas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over McQueen. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Camryn McLelland made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. McLelland was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Annie Hill, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylie Pledger, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue faced Damonte Ranch in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Miners walked away with an 11-6 win over the Mustangs. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Kaylee Sanchez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kiki Harris was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Averie Stephan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.
Bishop Manogue always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Damonte Ranch only posted an OBP of .324.
Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Manogue, their victory bumped their record up to 22-10-1.
Douglas took their win against Bishop Manogue in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
