Volleyball Recap: Gibraltar Takes a Loss

Gibraltar extended their losing streak to 12 on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-23. They lost 3-0 to the Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran Blazers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Josie Martin and Ella Clarke, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Isla Fagundes and her three assists.

As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-17. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

Olivia Kirchner was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had seven digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Looking ahead, Gibraltar is taking a road trip to challenge Roncalli at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran, they will be playing at home against Florence at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
