Basketball Game Preview: Camas Papermakers vs. Glacier Peak Grizzlies

The Camas Papermakers will square off against the Glacier Peak Grizzlies at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Camas is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Richland, who was ranked 11th at the time (Camas was ranked 13th). Camas had just enough and edged out Richland 59-57. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Papermakers considering their 26-point performance the contest before.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Glacier Peak rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 49-42 win over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Camas has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Glacier Peak's win bumped their record up to 22-3.

Camas came up short against Glacier Peak in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 65-61. Can Camas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
