Softball Recap: Springfield's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Springfield was feeling good fresh off their 12-0 takedown of Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers lost 11-4 to the Windom Eagles on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Isabella Groebner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Springfield fell to 4-1. As for Windom, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Springfield will square off against Lester Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windom, they will take on Luverne at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
