Softball Recap: Creekview Comes Up Short

Creekview was the 7-3 winner over Lone Star when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs came up short against the Rangers on Friday, falling 9-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaelani Rogers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Lone Star, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Creekview will take on rival Turner at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lone Star is set to challenge their familiar foe Reedy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers are on a 13-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Lions a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
