Northwestern Lehigh extended their winning streak to eight on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 9-2 in the process. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Palisades Pirates. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 30, 2022, but that streak is no more.

As for Palisades, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. The match marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Palisades' part, Karlye Teman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. Teman has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Catie Russo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.
