The Trinity Christian Gryphons will head out to square off against The Covenant Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
The Covenant will be up against a hot Trinity Christian squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Trinity Christian came out on top against Grace Christian School by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday.
Brody Frank and Isaac Norman made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Frank didn't allow a single earned run over 5.1 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Norman pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Frank has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Frank scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Norman scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs Norman has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Philip Long, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Ryan Gardner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask The Covenant). They put the hurt on Blue Ridge with a sharp 18-2 win on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Like Trinity Christian, The Covenant also got a great game from a two-way player: Evan Pariseau. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Pariseau was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Hudson Reese was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Phillip Venton also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Trinity Christian's record now sits at 4-1. As for The Covenant, their record now sits at an identical 4-1.
Trinity Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against The Covenant in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Christian since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
