Football Game Recap: Independence vs. North Panola

North Panola won against Mitchell last Saturday with 46 points, and North Panola decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. North Panola were fully in charge, breezing past Independence 46-7. Followers of North Panola probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.

North Panola's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 18 first-half points. Meanwhile, Independence couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 18-0 heading into the break. North Panola put the matchup away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and seven points allowed from the defense. The victory bumped their record up to 5-1. The loss dropped Independence's record to 3-4.

Next week North Panola take on Coahoma Agricultural at 7:00 PM. North Panola will be strutting in after a win while Coahoma Agricultural will be stumbling in from a defeat. As for Independence, they will face off against Holly Springs. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
