Softball Recap: Watchung Hills Regional Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Watchung Hills Regional walked away with it. They blew past the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles 8-2 on Tuesday. Considering the Warriors have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Watchung Hills Regional's eighth in a row) raised their record to 25-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Morris Knolls, they moved to 20-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Watchung Hills Regional will challenge Hunterdon Central on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 1.5, the Red Devils 0.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Morris Knolls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
