Basketball Recap: Longwood Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Longwood challenged Walt Whitman on Monday. The Longwood Lions lost 60-35 to the Walt Whitman Wildcats. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Longwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Walt Whitman, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Longwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walt Whitman, they will face off against Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brentwood will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Walt Whitman surely won't give up without a fight.
