Basketball Recap: Sierra Fitzpatrick Key Part of a Team Effort in Fighting Scots Win

Highland hadn't done well against River Valley recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Highland Fighting Scots came out on top against the River Valley Vikings by a score of 37-27. For the Fighting Scots, this counts as revenge for the 40-28 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Highland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sierra Fitzpatrick, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Fitzpatrick a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Addi Reichenbach, who put up nine points.

Despite the loss, River Valley still got an impressive performance from Ava Roseberry, who went 6 of 7 on her way to 15 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Highland and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for River Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
