Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western Branch). They put the hurt on the Indian River Braves with a sharp 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Western Branch needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Western Branch now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Indian River, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Branch will challenge Grassfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grassfield will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Western Branch surely won't give up without a fight. As for Indian River, they will take on Nansemond River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Indian River are facing Nansemond River at the right time seeing as Nansemond River are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
