Volleyball Recap: Fountain Valley Takes a Loss

Fountain Valley and St. Margaret squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Fountain Valley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tartans, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Barons couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Fountain Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made St. Margaret's work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-13, 25-19.

Fountain Valley is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-11. As for St. Margaret's, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Fountain Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. After both having extra time off, St. Margaret's and Burroughs will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tartans surely won't give up without a fight.
