Serrano wins going away against Barstow

Recap: Serrano Diamondbacks vs. Barstow Aztecs
The Serrano Diamondbacks waltzed into their contest Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Barstow with points to spare, taking the game 61-44. That's another feather in the cap for Serrano, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Barstow's loss came despite strong showings from Kyron Medlock and Johntae Drisdom. Medlock dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while Drisdom scored 13 points along with four steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Serrano now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Barstow, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Serrano and Hesperia will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hesperia is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Barstow and Adelanto will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Adelanto presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Barstow in California (Adelanto is ranked 329th, while Barstow is ranked 1106th).
