Basketball Recap: Grant County Takes a Loss

Grant County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gallatin County Wildcats. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Grant County's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Gallatin County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7-1.

Coming up, Grant County will head out on the road to challenge Tates Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gallatin County, they will take on Oldham County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Oldham County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
