Baseball Game Preview: El Camino Colts vs. Half Moon Bay Cougars

For the second straight game, El Camino will face off against Half Moon Bay. The Colts will head out on the road to take on the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games El Camino has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

El Camino took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Half Moon Bay 2-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Half Moon Bay's part, Kai Kung was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Kung has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Half Moon Bay saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Heath, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

El Camino's victory bumped their record up to 7-17. As for Half Moon Bay, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-16.
